Dr. James Strong systematically applied numbers to English words and the corresponding Hebrew, Aramaic, or Greek word in the Bible. This Exhaustive Concordance was first published in 1890, but with the advent of handheld computers, using Strong's Numbers has never been easier. By looking up the corresponding number, you can obtain the following information about words in the Bible:
- The original Greek or Hebrew word
- The pronounciation of the original word
- The definition of the original word
- References to other appearances of the word in the Bible
Using Strong's Numbers, you can easily find other appearances of a word, or the location of a phrase if you know parts of the phrase but not its exact location in the Bible.
How does this work in QuickVerse?
In your QuickVerse Library there will be 2 distinct books. The first book is a KJV Bible with special links for each word in Strong's Exhaustive Concordance. The second book is the Strong's Hebrew and Greek Dictionary. As you hover the mouse over the links in the Bible, the Dictionary definition appears in the information pane. Or, you can click on the Bible link and the Dictionary will open to that particular definition.
